Operations Manager – Tanker

Role

• Lead and manage daily tanker operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective vessel performance
• Oversee voyage planning and execution, ensuring optimal scheduling, turnaround time, and resource utilization
• Monitor operational KPIs including fuel consumption, demurrage, and overall fleet efficiency
• Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations, charter party requirements, and company policies
• Coordinate closely with commercial, technical, and marine teams to align operational and business objectives
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including charterers, port agents, and terminals
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
• Handle operational issues, incidents, and deviations, ensuring timely resolution and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in tanker operations or shipping industry
• Strong understanding of tanker operations, chartering terms, and maritime regulations
• Proven experience in managing vessel operations, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
