Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to oversee cost planning, budget control, and financial strategy for our data center projects. The role requires strong expertise in cost management within large-scale infrastructure, with a preference for candidates from data centers, cloud, or technology-driven environments. The Cost Manager will work closely with project teams, contractors, and senior leadership to ensure cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and value optimization throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for data center projects.
  • Lead cost planning from concept design through to construction and project handover.
  • Monitor project expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial models for management review.
  • Support procurement strategy, vendor negotiations, and contract evaluations to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to balance cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Provide risk and value management analysis to maximize return on investment.
  • Manage change orders, claims, and final accounts with contractors.
  • Advise leadership on cost-saving opportunities, benchmarking, and market trends in data center and cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor and guide Quantity Surveyors or cost engineers within the project team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or financial planning in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in data centers, cloud infrastructure, IT facilities, or technology-driven construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC), and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in cost management software, Excel, and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with international clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional certifications (MRICS, PMP, CCP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
