  • Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia
  • Full-Time
  • On-Site

Job Description:

Our client is a globally recognized leader in sustainable packaging solutions, providing high-quality, customized products to the world's most iconic F&B and retail brands. We are seeking an Operations Director with a strong foundation in Operations Engineering to lead their multi-site manufacturing footprint in Indonesia.

This is a strategic leadership role for a "Technical Architect" of operations—someone who can drive engineering precision, industrial automation, and lean manufacturing across a complex network of plants to meet the demands of a high-growth multinational market.

Core Responsibilities

1. Multi-Site Engineering & Operations Leadership

  • Network Synchronization: Provide strategic oversight for multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring a "One Standard" approach to engineering excellence and production efficiency across the footprint.
  • Technical Roadmap: Develop and execute the 3–5 year operational engineering strategy, focusing on capacity expansion, site optimization, and the integration of new production technologies.
  • Asset Integrity: Oversee the maintenance and modernization of high-speed packaging machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through predictive engineering.

2. Operations Engineering & Automation

  • Process Optimization: Apply advanced engineering principles to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce waste, and optimize the material flow within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Industry 4.0 Integration: Lead the transition toward digital manufacturing, implementing automation, smart sensor technology, and data-driven quality control systems.
  • Value Engineering: Partner with R&D and Technical teams to ensure that new packaging designs are optimized for high-speed, cost-effective manufacturing without compromising quality.

3. Lean Manufacturing & Operational Excellence

  • Culture of Improvement: Embed a robust Lean Six Sigma or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) framework across all plants to drive a culture of continuous improvement and marginal gains.
  • Standardization: Establish and govern unified KPIs across all locations to provide a "single version of the truth" regarding operational performance and technical health.

4. Supply Chain & Quality Governance

  • Integrated Supply Chain: Synchronize manufacturing schedules with global supply chain mandates, ensuring 99%+ service levels for multinational key accounts.
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain world-class standards for food safety and sustainability packaging certifications (e.g., FSC, ISO, BRCGS, and Halal) across the entire network.

5. CAPEX & Financial Stewardship

  • Infrastructure Investment: Full accountability for the Operations P&L; lead the planning and execution of major CAPEX projects, including Greenfield plant setups or significant line upgrades.
  • Cost Leadership: Drive aggressive COGS reduction through energy efficiency, sustainable material utilization, and optimized labor productivity.

The Ideal Profile

  • Experience: 18+ years in Operations or Manufacturing leadership, with at least 5 years in a Multi-Site capacity, specifically within Packaging, FMCG, or Precision Manufacturing.
  • Technical Pedigree: A strong background in Operations Engineering with a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering. An MBA or advanced technical certification is highly preferred.
  • MNC Experience: Proven success navigating a multinational matrix organization and reporting to regional or global stakeholders.
  • Leadership Style: A data-driven, analytical leader who is equally comfortable reviewing engineering blueprints on the factory floor as they are presenting strategic roadmaps in the boardroom.
  • Language: Native-level Bahasa Indonesia and full professional fluency in English are mandatory.
